INSTRUCTIONS

October 10 Mid-Term Exam and Film
Your mid-term exam will be essay format - you will choose 3 questions to answer from 4 or 5 available and you will have the first hour of our class meeting to answer those questions. To prepare for your exam, please review the readings and power point presentations from the first few weeks of the course. I will primarily be looking for evidence that you are beginning to think critically about the concepts and theories we have been discussing and that you can make your own arguments about the topics we have covered, drawing on material that you have read and/or that has been presented in class. The strongest exam responses will not just put forth your opinion, but will indicate that you have considered the material we have covered in constructing your responses. In other words "I think that..." will not be valued as much as "Based on Alan Kay's notions of personal dynamic media, I assert that..."
